PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten heat treatment hours in a process of manufacturing parts for a machine structure such as a toothed gear made from a carburizing steel by high-concentration carburizing and quenching, and to manufacture the parts superior in pitting resistant strength. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the parts for the machine structure such as the toothed gear superior in pitting resistant strength comprises cold-working the parts for the machine structure such as the toothed gear made of a steel for the machine structure containing 0.1 to 0.3 mass% Ti, at a working rate of 20% or higher, and carburizing and quenching the parts at a high concentration of carbon so as to control the C concentration on the surface of the parts to 1.0 mass% or higher, to precipitate carbides consisting of Fe<SB>3</SB>C on the surface layer of the parts.
