PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a vehicular air conditioner and the vehicular air conditioner for recovering a refrigerant staying in a vehicle-outside heat exchanger without deteriorating a heating feeling. SOLUTION: This control method of the vehicular air conditioner comprises a compressor 11, vehicle-inside heat exchangers 12 and 13, an orifice mechanism 15, the vehicle-outside heat exchanger 14, a coolant heat exchanger 25 and refrigerant flowing direction switching means 16A and 16B, and liquefies the refrigerant by the vehicle-inside heat exchanger 12, and vaporizes the refrigerant by the coolant heat exchanger 25 in heating operation, and is characterized by allowing at least a part of the refrigerant to flow to the vehicle-outside heat exchanger 14 from the compressor 11 when corresponding to either or both conditions of becoming a prescribed temperature difference or larger in a temperature difference between the refrigerant flowing in the coolant heat exchanger 25 and the flowing-out refrigerant after a first prescribed time from a start of the heating operation.
