PROCESS FOR SEALING WATER LEAKAGE OF WATER COOLED GENERATOR STATOR WINDING WATER CLIP

PURPOSE: A process for sealing the water leakage of a water cooled generator stator winding water clip is provided to reduce heat effect by uniformly coating a filler metal over a water leaking part between strands with various width and depth and drying the coated metal filler with a halogen lamp and to firmly seal and repair the water leaking part by melting powdered filler metal with a laser beam. CONSTITUTION: A process for sealing the water leakage of a water cooled generator stator winding water clip is composed of steps for inspecting water leakage by injecting air pressure after sealing both ends of a straight leaf-shaped water clip through a filler metal drying jig(S1); cutting a part of straight leaf-shaped water clip with a band saw and a cutter(S2); removing various oxides and impurities by a wire brushing and a laser beam and washing the water clip with acetone(S3); coating and drying a brazing filler metal with a halogen lamp, irradiating the coated filler metal through the laser beam, and then repeatedly performing the operations till completing the repairing operation(S4); and re-joining the straight leaf-shaped water clip washed and cut by the wire brushing and air pressure in a torch or TIG(Tungsten Inert Gas) brazing method and performing a final test for the repaired part(S5).
