APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SHAPE OF STRIP IN COLD ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling shape of strip in cold rolling are provided to converge shape error of the edge part of the strip into zero by recognizing wedge wave of the strip using a mathematical model and changing horizontal shift amount of actuator for controlling twist of shape of the edge part. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises first adder(11) for obtaining shape error between the target shape value and the measured shape values by receiving a target shape value and measured shape values of the strip; a shape recognition part(12) for recognizing actual shape of the edge part of the strip by applying the shape error to a mathematical model; an upper intermediate roll shift calculation part(13) for calculating an upper intermediate roll shift deviation by applying the actual shape of the edge part of the strip to fuzzy method; second adder(15) for calculating a shift of the upper intermediate roll to be proceeded in the future by adding the upper intermediate roll shift deviation to a previous position value of the upper intermediate roll; first multiplier(16) for outputting a control value of an actuator for actuating the upper intermediate roll by multiplying an adjustment value according to rolling variables of the strip by the shift of the upper intermediate roll to be proceeded in the future; a lower intermediate roll shift calculation part(14) for calculating a lower intermediate roll shift deviation by applying the actual shape of the edge part of the strip to fuzzy method; third adder(17) for calculating a shift of the lower intermediate roll to be proceeded in the future by adding the lower intermediate roll shift deviation to a previous position value of the lower intermediate roll; and second multiplier(18) for outputting a control value of an actuator for actuating the lower intermediate roll by multiplying an adjustment value according to rolling variables of the strip by the shift of the lower intermediate roll to be proceeded in the future.
