<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master unit-side optical radio transmission device which has the power consumption minimized by making a light emission part of the master unit-side optical radio transmission device emit light in a direction corresponding to a terminal-side optical radio transmission device of the other party of communication to suppress unnecessary light emission. <P>SOLUTION: A two-dimensional CMOS sensor 52 for detecting the direction of the terminal-side optical radio transmission device is mounted on the master unit-side optical radio transmission device provided in a higher position, and the direction of the terminal-side optical radio transmission device is detected by a direction detection part 50 on the basis of light reception position data of the CMOS sensor 52, and light emission parts 55a to 55n of the master unit-side optical radio transmission device are controlled by a light emission control part 54 so that they emit light in the detected direction corresponding to the terminal-side optical radio transmission device of the other party of communication, and thus unnecessary light emission is suppressed to reduce the power consumption of the master unit-side optical radio transmission device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
