<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system for preventing theft of in-car electric equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The security system has a portable electronic key 110 for wireless transmission of the first identification mark, an in-car electric equipment 140 installed inside a vehicle 30 and supplied with power by a battery 10, a mark matching device 130 having a means to store the second identification mark, for matching of the first and second identification marks, and an electric lock 150 for locking to avoid removal of the mark matching device 130 from the inside of the vehicle 30. In this security system, the mark matching device 130 checks the first identification mark against the second identification mark. If the first and second identification marks do not match, the in-car electric equipment 140 stops power supply from the battery 10, and the electric lock 150 prohibits the lock release.
