PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type motor which improves rated torque and maximum torque by increasing the number of pieces of interlinked magnetic flux, and dispersing the magnetic flux without concentrating it in teeth so as to lessen the influence of magnetic saturation. SOLUTION: In the permanent magnet type motor which has a stator where a winding and an iron core are arranged and a rotor where a permanent magnet constituting a plurality of magnetic poles is arranged, the winding is constituted of a coil which has a plurality of concentrically wound air cores, the air core is equipped with teeth inserted into the air core of the coil, and it is related such that 0<β≤0.5 in the case that the angular width of the coil is defined to beτand the angular width of the teethβ×τ, and that (τ×ri×π/180)/(ro-ri)≥4, and ri≤rt<ro in the case that the outer radius of the coil is defined to be ro, the inner radius of the coil ri, and the tip radius of the teeth rt.
