PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording and reproduction apparatus in which recording start and recording end can be set under a condition wherein reservation of video recording is difficult by an apparatus main body or a remote control device. SOLUTION: The information recording and reproduction apparatus 1 receives a mail M including recording conditions from a server 299, the mail M being transmitted from a portable terminal 201 to the server 299, then the conditions can be registered for reservation to the recording and reproduction apparatus 1, and the information recording and reproduction apparatus can be set with the recording start and recording end under a condition wherein reservation of video recording is difficult by the apparatus main body or the remote control device.
