<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain cooking rice wine which is used as it is without evaporating alcohol by regulating the state of heating and from which palatability of brewed beverage is readily extracted even by a beginner in cooking, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cooking rice wine has 5-11 vol.% alcohol concentration obtained by distilling away an alcohol component from refined rice wine or fruit wine at a temperature equal to or lower than the boiling point of ethyl alcohol.
