PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a cleaning blade whose assembly accuracy in assembling the cleaning blade is enhanced, whose yield is raised and whose production cost is reduced. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the cleaning blade, polyurethane rubber 1 constituting the cleaning blade is stuck between two supporting plates 2 and 2 made of metal and opposed with each other with a predetermined spacing, and an elastic body 1 is cut nearly at a center position in a longitudinal direction by a cutting blade 3.
