PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element of simple constitution capable of leading incident light out as light which has a uniform illuminance distribution and is collimated. SOLUTION: The optical element 1 has a light incidence surface 3 and a light projection surface 4 and is equipped with a rod lens 2 which guides the light incident from the light incidence surface 3 to the light projection surface 4, which is processed to collimate the projection light.
