PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic location detection device provided with a means for averaging magnetic flux, capable of detecting displacement angle larger than 180°and also is capable of linear detection, when measuring residual liquid in an irregular shaped vessel. SOLUTION: The magnetic location detection device comprises a magnetic disc 11, a magnetic detection element 13, and a magnetic collector 12, whose end-face profile reduces in similar form, from the magnetic disc 11 toward the magnetic detection element 13. The magnetic collector 12 is so arranged that, between the magnetic disc 11 and the magnetic detection element 13, one end face faces the magnetic disc 11, while the other end face tightly contacts the magnetic detection element 13. The change in the area, facing the magnetic detection element 13 at the translation of a magnetic member 32 provided to a magnetic board 311 or magnet disc 312, is formed into a map shape, corresponding to the positional change characteristics of the object to be detected.
