PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer for an air port capable of sufficiently ensuring quantity of cooling air due to the low ventilation resistance and having an excellent noise reduction effect even in a compact size. SOLUTION: This silencer is provided in a cover for covering a noise source, which is mounted near a fan in the cover. The silencer has a vessel-shaped sound absorbing ventilator 10 provided so as to cover part of the air port 3 including at least a section facing a rotational center portion of the fan 4, attaching a sound absorbing member 15 to an inner surface, and having an opening portion 14 in part of a peripheral side face, and a plate-shaped sound absorbing means 20 attaching sound absorbing members 22 onto the surfaces in which a plurality of plates 21 roughly orthogonal to the air port 3 at a remaining portion of the air port 3 face each other.
