KEY FOR DISK TYPE TUMBLER LOCK, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE KEY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure many key differences and to form engaging grooves on both sides of an insertion shaft part of a key so as not to interfere with each other in the key for a rotary disk type tumbler lock. SOLUTION: The key for the disk type tumbler lock has first cut grooves 5 of bowl-shaped cross section formed at a wide flat face of the insertion shaft part 3 and detachably engaged with a first engaging protrusion 19 provided at the upper or lower side inner peripheral surface of a key through aperture 18 of a main tumbler 15 swingingly disposed through a support shaft 35 in a space part between a front side key guide 12 and a rear side tail piece 14 provided at an outer cylinder of the rotating disk type tumbler lock X, and second cut grooves 7 of bowl-shaped cross section formed at the right and left end faces 6 of the insertion shaft part 3 and detachably engaged with a second engaging protrusion 25 provided at the right or left side inner peripheral surface of a key through aperture 24 of a side tumbler swingingly disposed through a support shaft between the main tumblers 15.
