摘要 PURPOSE: A low temperature method is provided to form emitter tips having lengths and shapes suitable for electron emission at the temperature lower than the strain temperature of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A low temperature method comprises a step of preparing a substrate having an exposed copper surface; and a step of permitting copper oxide nanowires to be grown on the surface of the substrate, by allowing the exposed copper surface of the substrate to contact an oxidizing solution at the temperature lower than 100 Deg.C. The oxidizing solution is a mixture of NaClO2 solution and NaOH solution.
