PURPOSE: A transdermal absorption preparation permitting a vitamin D analogue such as calcitriol or alfacalcidol to maintain in an effective blood concentration for a specified period without skin irritation and side effects is provided which is useful for a person who has osteoporosis and renal failure. CONSTITUTION: This transdermal absorption preparation contains a matrix layer comprising (1) 0.0001 to 10% by weight of a vitamin D analogue and (2) 90 to 99.9999% by weight of a nonpolar polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyisobutylene, a styrene-butadiene copolymer, styrene-isoprene copolymer, polyisobutene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, polypropylene, silicon-based polymer, neoprene rubber, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, butyl rubber, epichlorohydrin rubber and a mixture thereof.
