OPTICAL MODULE, OPTICAL FIBER AND OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module etc. in which a frequency of signal light remains identical before and after regeneration of a signal light waveform.

SOLUTION: The optical module 100 is provided with an optical coupling part 110 and an optical fiber 120. The optical coupling part 110 wavelength-multiplexes signal light with a wavelength λ1inputted to a first port 111 and exciting light with a wavelength λ2(=λ1/3) inputted to a second port 112 and outputs the wavelength-multiplexed signal and the exciting light from a third port 113. The optical fiber 120 makes the signal light and the exciting light outputted from the third port 113 of the optical coupling part 110 be inputted from its end face, waveguides the inputted light, has a waveguide mode with a mode phase refractive index n1at the wavelength λ1and has a waveguide mode with a mode phase refractive index n2at the wavelength λ2wherein an equation n1= n2is practically satisfied.
