<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize improvement in strength, fire-resistant nature or the like in a flame resisting electric wire and a cable wherein covering is constituted of at least two layers. <P>SOLUTION: The outermost layer 14 of the covering is compounded with 5-35 wt% of a thermoplastic styrenic elastomer, 5-15 wt% of an olefinic resin or ethylene-propylene rubber, 5-25 wt% of a process oil, 35-65 wt% of a metal hydroxide, and this is composed of the compound combined with a crosslinking agent, a flame retardant aid, an antioxidant, and a lubricant or the like. Furthermore, the inner layer 15 of the covering is composed of a composition combined with 45-75 wt% of an olefinic resin, 25-55 wt% of a metal hydroxide, and a flame retardant aid, an antioxidant, and a lubricant or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
