<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system that realizes a hot swap function while suppressing mounting area and price increase, and an information processor that is equipped with the memory system. <P>SOLUTION: Data stored in memory modules are copied in a hard disk device periodically. When an arbitrary memory module is replaced, buses are switched from unidirectional buses to bidirectional buses, and upon an access request to the replaced memory module, the access is directed to the storage area in the hard disk device corresponding to the address space of the memory module. Alternatively, the data corresponding to the address space of the replaced memory module are copied from the hard disk device and in a storing means, and upon an access request to the memory module, the access is directed to the storage area in the storing means corresponding to the address space.
