<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device used for various electronic appliances such as a cellphone, capable of detecting a press angle with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In this input device, when one of a nearly ring-like resistance body 26 provided with a pair of electrodes 27A, 27C in a direction Y projecting from the periphery and a pair of electrodes 27B, 27D in a direction X perpendicular thereto, and a nearly ring-like electroconductor 22 facing to the resistance body 26 at a prescribed gap is brought into contact with the other by press operation, a control means 40 changes over voltage to between the respective electrode pairs in the direction X and the direction Y to apply the voltage, detects respective vectors in the direction X and the direction Y by output voltage of the electroconductor 22 obtained when applying the voltage in the direction X and when applying the voltage in the direction Y, and detects the press angle at a press position from a composite vector thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
