PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce shearing stress caused by torsional deformation to improve strength by reducing torsional rigidity of a lead lag and feathering part of a flex beam, and to enhance safety and reliability of a flight control system for pitch change.
SOLUTION: In the flex beam 1 equipped with a flapping part 3 and the lead lag and feathering part 5, the lead lag and feathering part 5 is provided by integrally jointing a first composite material extending in the beam length direction and having a plurality of fiber orientations and a second composite material extending in the beam length direction and having the same fiber orientation as this extending direction. The cross section of the lead lag and feathering part 5 in the direction perpendicular to the beam length direction is shaped as two approximate Ys connected (approximate X shape). By arranging given concave parts on branch parts 40, 50 and bent parts 60, 70 of the lead lag and feathering part 5, the torsional rigidity is set to be low.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
|
