PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use hot air type heater by keeping lateral balance (symmetrized) of a body case. SOLUTION: A hot air blowout port 2a is disposed at the front lower center part of a body case between closed portions 2b with specified widths formed at the front right and left sides of the body case 1. A power transformer 11 and a control substrate 12 are disposed in the left side space part 13a inside the body case opposed to the left side of the hot air blowout port and an air blow motor 10 and a fuel supply valve block 9 are disposed in the right side space part 13b opposed to the right side of the hot air blowout port. A combustion block 8 of a metal case storing the air blow fan is installed between the left side space part and the right side space part inside the body case. Not only the front face of the body case can be laterally kept in balance but also its lateral weight balance can be kept by the arrangement of the air blow motor, the fuel supply valve block, the power transformer, and the control substrate in the body case.
