PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transferring method of a strip member which positions correctly a lead frame to mount and transfer the same without stopping transferring belts. SOLUTION: When the lead frame L with positioning holes formed thereon is mounted on the transferring belts, which are driven by a motor 14 into a predetermined direction at a predetermined speed to transfer the same; the transferring belts 10a, 10b, on which pins 16, 16,... for inserting into the positioning holes of the lead frame L are erected, are employed for the transferring belts, and the lead frame L is lowered to mount the same on the transferring belts 10a, 10b and insert the pins 16, 16,... of the transferring belts 10a, 10b into the positioning holes of the lead frame L while driving the lead frame L positioned above the transferring belts 10a, 10b into the same direction at the same speed as those of the transferring belts 10a, 10b.
