PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar lens and a planar lens array which have optical characteristics easily varied to correct aberrations by simple constitution. SOLUTION: The planar lens is provided with a first transparent substrate 1 having a first electrode, a second substrate 2 having no electrodes, a second electrode 6 arranged outside the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer 3 which is stored between the first substrate and the second substrate and has liquid crystal molecules aligned in one direction, and the second electrode 6 is made into a curved surface, and a voltage is applied between the fist electrode 4 and the second electrode 6 to control alignment of liquid crystal molecules.
