PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize display as a program producer intends by any receiver by eliminating different character size and difference in screen colors by every receiver. SOLUTION: In this data broadcasting system having a broadcasting station which creates and broadcasts markup language data including character information and color information and the receiver which receivers the markup language data and performs display based on the character information and the color information on an image receiver, it is further provided with a service server which stores display optimization data for optimizing the display of the markup language data created by the broadcasting station on the receiver, the receiver acquires the display optimization data from the service server at the time of receiving the markup language data, corrects the character information and the color information based on the display optimization data and displays the markup language data.
