PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which air duct loss can be reduced, wind capacity is not reduced even when dust accumulates, dust deposited on a dust separating means to separate dust from air can be easily removed, and, moreover, a dust separating rate in a cylindrical filter, i.e. the rate of dust in the dust flowing into the cylindrical filter not flowing to the cylindrical filter side to proceed straight is improved. SOLUTION: A suction port 52, a cylindrical filter 62, an opening 51 in the rear part of a negative pressure chamber part 56 around the cylindrical filter 62, and the suction opening of an electric blower 33 are arranged on a straight line. The air guided into a wind duct 61 is passed through the cylindrical filter 62 and flowed into the negative pressure chamber part 56 and it is sucked via the opening 51 into a suction opening 33A of the electric blower 33. On the other hand, dust passing straight in the wind duct 61 is captured by a dust separating part 60. Wind quantity Q1 passing through the cylindrical filter 62 is set smaller than wind quantity Q2 flowing into the suction opening 33A of the electric blower 33 via a dust collecting chamber 55 and the opening 59.
