Method for preparing noodles comprises forming a dough from flour and water that has been obtained by melting snow, then forming the dough into noodle ribbons. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for cooking noodles in boiling water, where the water has been obtained by melting snow; (2) noodles produced by the new methods; and (3) method for producing a food product by purifying water that has been obtained by melting snow, then treating the food with the purified water.
