<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer aided diagnostic apparatus capable of double checking an affected area by comparing images acquired by a plurality of devices. <P>SOLUTION: The computer aided diagnostic apparatus is equipped with a first affected area detecting means 4 for detecting a candidate for an affected area from the image acquired by a first modality, a second affected area detecting means 5 for detecting a candidate for an affected area from the image acquired by a modality different from the first modality and showing the same region of interest of the same subject, and a detection result synthesizing means 6 for mutually comparing the results detected by the first and second means 4, 5.
