<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device high in light utilization efficiency and superior in brightness characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A hologram pattern is formed on a light emitting face 201 of a light guide plate 104. The hologram pattern has a light diffusion action anisotropically in a parallel direction with a light incident face. A prism structure extending in the parallel direction with the light incident face by a mirror plane working is formed on the rear face 203 of the light guide plate. A downward prism sheet 103 having the vertex angle with a prescribed angle is arranged on a light emitting face of the light guide plate. By applying the downward prism sheet having the vertex angle with a prescribed angle to the light guide plate in which an anisotropical diffusion hologram pattern is integrally molded, the liquid display device superior in the brightness characteristics can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
