<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle to increase space of a cabin when unused without being a hindrance for getting in and out and to enable a switch to be used after storing the steering device by having the switch exposed to an upper part of an instrument panel. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle is provided with the instrument panels 3, 21 at a front side of the cabin, and the steering device 34 at a rear side. The steering device 34 is provided with the switch operated by an occupant to actuate vehicle apparatus at a side facing the occupant, and the instrument panel is provided with a recessed part 35 for storing the steering device at the upper part of the instrument panel and a supporting mechanism 67 for moving the steering device to the front in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, supporting the steering device so as to have the side with the switch exposed, and storing it in the recessed part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
