PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize energy saving while restricting an increase in the size of an electromagnetic induction heat coil and to improve temperature detection response and accuracy. SOLUTION: The fixing device (20) includes: a heat roller (21) which fuses toner (T) on a recording sheet (S) under heat: a pressure roller (22) which is in pressure contact with the heat roller, thereby pressing the recording sheet; and a coil (23) disposed near the outside of the heat roller which causes the heat roller to generate heat by electromagnetic induction of an alternating magnetic flux. The fixing device further includes a temperature detection means (28) for detecting the temperature of the heat roller, and a heat conducting member (29) which conducts heat to the temperature detection means.
