<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of realizing stable operation without shutting off supply of gas in the case of operating the fuel cell system at a constant load. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is provided with a reforming device 13 for reforming the fuel gas to be supplied through a gas meter 50, which is provided with a using time shut-off function, into hydrogen, a fuel cell 6 for generating power with hydrogen from the reforming device 13, and a control device 14 as a control means for controlling operation of the reforming device 13 and the fuel cell 6.
