<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new industrial method for easily and efficiently producing a triorganomonochlorosilane from a triorganomonohydrosilane. <P>SOLUTION: A triorganomonochlorosilane expressed by general formula (II): (R<SP>1</SP>)(R<SP>2</SP>)(R<SP>3</SP>)SiCl (R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each independently a 1-10C hydrocarbon group provided that R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are not methyl at the same time) is produced by reacting a triorganomonohydrosilane compound of general formula (I): (R<SP>1</SP>)(R<SP>2</SP>)(R<SP>3</SP>)SiH (R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are the same as those defined in formula II) with hydrochloric acid having a proper concentration in the presence of a catalyst composed of a transition metal, its salt, its oxide or its complex. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
