<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanotube aggregate having a layered structure in which the "amorphous carbon" or "particle" especially, the amorphous carbon, which has been conventionally regarded as rubbish and a negative existence, is utilized considering its property as a positive existence, and a product using this. <P>SOLUTION: The carbon nanotube aggregate has an aggregate in which numerous carbon nanotubes (CNT) are entangled and a layered structure in which the aggregate has a first and a second faces on front and rear and a layer containing a solid substance, especially amorphous carbon or particle other than carbon nanotube is formed on the first and/or second face. Since the conductor and the conductor are made integrated front and rear, the loss between the CNT and electrode is small, and it can be used for an electron emitting source for a display (FED) showing good electrical property, capacitor, ultrahigh frequency diode, and light-emitting element. Since the CNT and the conductor are integrated front and rear, electronic components such as diode and transistor can be constructed steadily and economically without applying a series of processes for vapor-depositing the conductor on a semiconductor substrate. Further, a product such as electrode material, electron emitting source, luminous device, semiconductor device, adsorption material, heat radiation material, using the carbon nanotube aggregate, is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
