<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening device for a flap door of a container by a simple constitution having a strong retaining force not only against a pressing force on the flap door from an inside to an outside but also against the pressing force on a side wall fastening the flap door from the inside to the outside to prevent the side wall from falling down. <P>SOLUTION: The container 1 with the flap door freely openable and closable is provided with the fastening device 3 fastening the flap door 2 in a closed state. The fastening device 3 is composed of a fastening hook 33 provided to the flap door 2 and a fastening pin 32 which the fastening hook 33 can be freely engaged with and disengaged from, and a hook of the fastening hook 33 is engaged with the fastening pin 32 in an state of embracing the peripheral surface of the fastening pin 32 from the side of the container 1 over to the outside.
