PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housesitting remote controller which performs housesitting by more naturally pretending that a resident is at home.

SOLUTION: The housesitting remote controller includes: a storage section 102 for storing a plurality of kinds of remote control codes for a lighting apparatus 2 and a video apparatus 3 or the like compatible with the remote controller as to one and same of a remote control operation or a corresponding remote control operation; a transmission section 103 for transmitting the remote control code obtained from the storage section 102; an automatic trigger section 104 for irregularly outputting a timing signal; a setting operation section 105 to select the remote control code on the basis of an operation entry from each of the remote control codes stored in the storage section 102; and a control section 101 for transmitting at least one remote control code through the transmission section 103 in response to the timing signal outputted from the automatic trigger section 104 when the setting operation section 105 selects at least the one remote control code.
