PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking preventive lock which inexpensively and positively prevents the unauthentic opening of a door by picking. SOLUTION: A lock bar fitting engaging member 14 is fixed to the indoor side of the door 1, and a lock bar 11 which has its tip fitted to the lock bar fitting engaging member to prevent the opening of the door is horizontally slidably arranged on a door frame, whereby the lock bar is moved by a lock bar moving means between a locking position and an unlocking position. The lock bar moving means is manually directly operable by an operator inside a room, and it is operable by a key from the outside. By the lock bar moving means, an operating arm 16 is rockably connected to the other end of the lock bar 11, and the rotating axis of the operating arm is fixed to a driver pin 21 rotatably fitted into a sleeve. Then the driver pin 21 has a key slot formed at the other end thereof, and by inserting a key to rotate the driver pin 21, the operating arm 16 is rocked together with the driver pin 21, to thereby unlock the door.
