PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for a thinned, deep drawn and ironed can, which prevents the film with filiform cracks (hair) from peeling off when the sheet is manufactured into a can, and in addition, is superior in workability, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The steel sheet for the thinned, deep drawn and ironed can is a low-carbon steel sheet comprising 0.001-0.010 wt.% C, 0.05 wt.% or less Si, 0.9 wt.% or less Mn, 0.131-0.200 wt.% P, 0.04 wt.% or less S, 0.006-0.08 wt.% Al, 0.0010-0.015 wt.% N and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities.
