PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of improving appearance of a tire while keeping or improving scorch time and traveling endurance of the tire. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises (i) 20-50pts.wt. modified brominated copolymer of isobutylene with p-methylstyrene obtained by modifying 50-90% of Br group of a brominated copolymer of isobutylene with p-methylstyrene with a compound represented by formula (I) and/or (II) (wherein M is Na, K, Zn or Ti; R is H or a 1-4C alkyl group), (ii) 80-50pts.wt. diene-based rubber and (iii) at least one kind of an alcohol having≥100°C boiling point and a low molecular weight olefin having 2,000-5,000 weight average molecular weight.
