PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of preventing the meandering amount of a wide paper sheet from becoming large even in case the sheet is transported by a plurality of feed rollers. SOLUTION: The image recording device is structured so that a sheet sensor 38 is installed on a carriage 12 reciprocating in the directions perpendicular to the transporting direction of a wider sheet of paper 2', and the sensor 38 senses the right end of the sheet 2' when the carriage 12 makes the forward and return motions. The inclining amount of the sheet 2' is calculated from the right end position of the sheet 2' and the right end position of the proper sheet transport path, and the feed rollers 5a and 5b are controlled individually so that the inclining amount of the sheet 2' lessens in the region where printing is possible.
