PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the print time of a large size printer using a winder by setting a short ink drying time when the winder is used, and to shorten the print time furthermore by varying the ink drying time depending on the volume of output sheet wound by means of the winder. SOLUTION: The roll sheet printer comprises a means for winding a print output sheet, a means for detecting use of the print output sheet winding means, a means for detecting the volume of the print output sheet wound by the print output sheet winding means, a means for calculating the print stop time information based on the results from the means for detecting use of the print output sheet winding means and the means for detecting the volume of the print output sheet, and a means for stopping the roll sheet printer by the print stop time information.
