PURPOSE: A multifunctional crystal oscillator is provided to control finely an oscillating frequency by using a crystal oscillator having a temperature compensation function and a voltage control function. CONSTITUTION: A multifunctional crystal oscillator includes a quartz vibrator(7), an oscillation circuit(1), and a frequency synthesizer(10). The multifunctional crystal oscillator further includes a voltage controller, a temperature compensator, and a micro controller. The voltage controller(11) is used for controlling a frequency by changing a value of a capacitor connected to the oscillation circuit according to an external voltage signal. The temperature compensator(12) is used for measuring the temperature of the quartz vibrator and compensating the frequency variation of the quartz vibrator. The micro controller(13) is used for detecting the information corresponding to an external signal from a memory(14) and controls the frequency according to the detected information.
