Dotting and/or blotting membrane test strips (A) for detecting Lyme borreliosiscomprising at least two non-overlapping zones in which as least one antigen is present and which after incubation with patient serum indicate presence of antigen-specific antibodies (Ab) in the serum, as bands that are, or can be made visible are new. The new feature is that at least one of the zones contains an antigen (Ag1) of Borrelia burgdorferisensu lato, or its immunologically active fragment, and at least one other zone contains an exclusion-diagnosis antigen (Ag2), or its immunologically active fragment. Ag2 indicates presence of antibodies the formation of which is not induced by B. burgdorferisensu lato but nevertheless can react with B. burgdorferisensu lato antigens to form antigen-antibody products.
