A door with integral intercom and bell has a recess to take the intercom (16), bell (20) and connection system. These can be mounted on a plate fitted to the door and also fitted with a door handle (14). The connection can be via a wireless link or via electric contracts. No fitting recesses are required in the door frame or in the surrounding masonry. The modular system can be applied to a range of doors.
