The invention concerns a device for transmitting/receiving acoustic waves comprising a set of piezoelectric sensors PZTO to PZT4 bonded to a plate, said sensors capable of being independently transmitters or receivers of acoustic waves propagated in the plate and said device comprising filtering means adapted to define at least two independent spectral bands, one in the audio domain, the other in the ultrasound domain. Said device is characterized in that a set of at least three sensors among the four sensors PZTO to PZT3 operates in reception mode in the audio and ultrasound bands and enables the device to operate as impact-sensitive or microphonic faceplate, one sensor at least among the four sensors PZTO to PZT3 operates in transmission or reception mode in the ultrasound band while at least one sensor PTZ4 operates in transmission mode simultaneously in the audio band.
