A combustion engine comprises a crankshaft (3) in a housing (1) having a compensating shaft (15) operating through and beneath it which is led into a single piece bearing block (16) which is attached to the engine block (2) by through screws (35) through the bearing block. An Independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a combustion engine as above.
