An automotive compensation gear has a differential cage, a compensation gear housing and an axle drive wheel. The differential cage (2), axle drive wheel (3) and compensation gear housing (1) are combined in a one-piece component which is cast in a ductile ferrous metal e.g. bainite with nodular graphite.
