A method for the production of bone cement from poly(meth)acrylates with an X-ray contrast medium (I), in which (I) is functionalised with (meth)acrylate groups after coating with melamine-formaldehyde (MF) resin. An Independent claim is also included for bone cement as above, in which a nano-scale X-ray contrast medium with a particle size of 5-500 nm is functionalised by the method described above.
