PURPOSE: A folder type mobile terminal having a surface-attach type antenna is provided to maximize radiation capability of an antenna by installing it at the surface of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A main body(100) includes a printed circuit board(160) with an RF board(150) mounted thereon. A flat plate type antenna(120) has a certain area. A folder(110) has a mounting recess of a certain size formed at a surface portion to receive the antenna(120) thereon. A hinge device(B) mechanically connects the main body(100) and the folder(110) to allow them to be opened or closed. An electrical connector electrically connects the antenna(120) and the RF board(150). The mounting recess is formed at a certain surface portion of the folder(110) exposed with the terminal closed, and when the antenna(120) is mounted on the mounting recess, it is not protruded from the surface of the folder(110).
