Production of a crankshaft bearing composite comprises producing open-pored insertion parts or pressed bodies (14, 16) made from a fiber-reinforced ceramic by squeeze casting, placing the pressed bodies into a casting mold and infiltrating the bodies with a molten metal in a squeeze casting process, placing the infiltrated bodies into a casting device, forming a cast molded part, and exposing bearing bores (7) for receiving the crankshaft.
